Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) is an honor society recognizing high-achieving first-generation college students. To qualify for induction, undergraduate students must have completed at least 30 credit hours with a minimum 3.2 GPA, while graduate students must have earned at least nine credit hours with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Being inducted into Tri-Alpha is a prestigious recognition of academic excellence, perseverance, and dedication. Austin Peay State University is pleased to announce the selection of this year's President's Emerging Leaders. An invitation to the President's Emerging Leaders Program (PELP), with a scholarship, is offered to twenty incoming first-year students each year following a rigorous selection process that includes essays, interviews, and a review of past leadership experiences.

Austin Peay State University (APSU) is pleased to recognize our incoming first-year Honors students in the prestigious APSU Honors Program. APSU Honors students are competitively selected from an application process and must have at least a 3.5 high school gpa or minimum of 24 on the ACT. The Honors Program is designed to challenge students and provide opportunities for creative exploration and intellectual development. The program requires motivated students to fulfill a minimum of 25 hours of honors-designated courses, including a senior thesis. Honors courses are available in the general education core, as separate courses, and in upper-division courses in the various majors.
